I hadn’t always been a big person and whatever weight I put on, I could easily shed.
You can imagine my shock when after my second child, and inspite of exclusively breast feeding, the weight not only refused to shift, but piled on continuously, such that by 2014, I had put on 25kg in 10 years..
In a bid to lose the weight, I became a diet junkie. Shakes, high protein, lose it in 28 days, 3 day fast, the whole 9 yards. Name the diet, I had probably tried it.
And then in 2014, I was introduced to SWE. After listening to Nina’s story followed by an introduction to the plan, I knew this was the real deal.
SWE is logical and easy to follow. You get to lose weight without depriving yourself. In fact, the more you eat, the more you lose.
However, following my initial sign on and initial weight loss, I became complacent and sat on the fence. I yoyoed for 2 years, and then in April 2017, I faced my “Aha” moment.
I was diagnosed with diabetes. I knew that the time had come to take SWE seriously. And so with plenty of tough love from our CEO, I restarted my journey and I followed the plan faithfully.
Today I can say that not only have I lost most of the weight, I have my diabetes under control, including going off insulin and taking just one drug.
Between Jan 2017 and today, I have lost 14kg and kept it off. I am still on the journey, but I know I am in the right direction.
If you follow the plan, you get the results.
If I can do it, you can do it.
